Last camp day in Beirut we traditionally always finish a relay where all children and coaches participate. Now more than 60 kids from the age of 6 to 16 swimming, cheering in and around the pool with proud parents, and grandparents watching. Standing on the poolside seeing all these happy excited faces I felt tears coming out of my eyes. Tears of joy. Of pride. Thinking: yes I am here! I am alive and I am back here in Beirut with all my little swimfriends
And together with my fantastic team of coaches giving these children a fun, learning and positive experience. This time it is even more important to have a top group of coaches with me since I am not able to work as much as before the accident. And the team is a perfect combination of experienced and youth. Giving the participants their best of technique training, landtraining, inspiration and of course giving me the support I now need. Thank you: Stefan Nilsson, Anders Bladh, Josefin Lillhage ( 4 time olympic swimmer and world champion 200m freestyle), Nicolin Lillhage, Marvin Hamm and Elsa Nilsson. Without you and the organization of Laudy I would never have made it. This camp will not make any money but this is not the most important now (even though I sure can need it). The important is to give these swimmers this experience AND TO SHOW THEM THEIR COACH IS BACK AND HE IS A FIGHTER! HE WILL WIN THIS ONE.
