is it possible to get faster with online coaching without a coach standing poolside every day?

I have coached swimmers, young and older, for many years "online" but still it makes me really HAPPY and PROUD when I get the news that one of my swimmers, somewhere in the world, has again swum new best times and won titles despite not having me coaching them personally on a daily basis. Just today I got an email from Karin 55 who has been training online with me for two years. She wrote happy about her new titles and best times at the German Masters Championships. Since she started training with me in 2011 she has gone from being a typical 4th-5th place swimmer to a Champion improving all her times in different races like 50m freestyle and backstroke, 100m backstroke, 100m freestyle, 200m freestyle, 200m backstroke, 400m freestyle, 800m freestyle...!!!
